These terms cover the Plum companion app and related services provided by Hero Not Found, Inc. (“we,” “us”). By using the service, you agree to these terms.

A hardware companion in development

Plum works with compatible Plum hardware. Device-dependent functions require that hardware, and account lists may be empty when no device data is available. Pre-release features may be incomplete, change, or become unavailable. This website does not take orders or promise a release date, price, or subscription.

Your account

Plum is intended for adults. You must be of legal age to agree to these terms where you live. Keep your email account and sign-in codes secure, and let us know if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.

Record responsibly

Recording rules vary by location and situation. Inform people when you are recording and obtain any permission or consent required by law. Do not use Plum for unlawful recording, surveillance, harassment, or to violate another person’s rights.

Your content

You retain whatever ownership and other rights you have in your content; using Plum does not transfer those rights to us. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to provide and process it.

You give us permission to host, copy, process, transcribe, and display your content as needed to provide and secure the functions you use. This includes processing by the service providers described in our Privacy Policy and sharing within permissions you grant to connected clients. This permission does not give us ownership of your content or a general right to use it in advertising.

Check automated results

Transcripts and speaker suggestions can be incomplete or incorrect. Verify important information against the original source. Plum is not an emergency service and its automated output should not be relied on as proof of identity or as medical, legal, or other professional advice.

Use the service fairly

Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, access someone else’s account or data, distribute malicious code, or use Plum in a way that violates the law. Restrictions do not prevent activities that applicable law expressly permits.

Connected services

You choose whether to authorize third-party clients. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Review those before connecting. Disconnecting a client does not delete information it already received.

Ending use

You can stop using Plum at any time and contact us about deleting your account. Signing out does not delete stored data. We may suspend or end access to address misuse, security risks, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service, with notice where appropriate.

Availability and your rights

To the extent permitted by law, the pre-release service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use.

Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Updates and questions

We may update these terms. We will post the updated version and date here and give notice of material changes where required. Changes apply prospectively, subject to applicable law.
